Again, another image from the recent wedding i photographed at Woodbridge and Jimmys farm
This is one of my favourite moments during the wedding day. Rather than posing Bride and her dad before entering the church/registry office/place of marriage i prefer to wait until they are positioned, ready to enter. There will be a small amount of time when Bride and Dad are together that always gets a few very natural shots. This can be a tricky time photographically as, typically with church weddings, they will be standing in a dark part of the church with a lot of natural light flooding in from behind (as in this image). A lot of wedding photographers will resort to using flash at this point but i prefer to utilise this strong backlighting to create a much more natural and atmospheric shot. Its harder to do, unless you know what you are doing ;-), but a much better result.
