The use of natural light, whenever i photograph a wedding, is something that i am passionate about. The look and feel you get when working with natural light far exceeds the harshness that flash sometimes gives (although when i do use flash i try and soften it as much as possible). It takes more skill to produce consistent results with daylight and sometimes you have to work quickly. Being totally confident with your equipment and how it works is essential to be able to react quickly to the change in light conditions. The image below needed to be underexposed, and quickly, as i knew that the bright streaks of daylight would fool the in-camera light meter therefore rendering the groom in darkness!
