Here’s another favourite from a recent wedding at The Winter Barns canterbury. The exchange of the wedding rings is a very important time and i’m always conscious of not being to close or interrupting the ceremony. I use a Canon 5D mk3 in silent mode which means that the couple are not disturbed with a noisy shutter! This is very important in Church’s where the sound echoes around and also in registry offices’s when you can be very close to the couple due to the room size! I particularily like the image below as shot it in my preferred style – shooting into the light. I love the way the background is bleaching out giving so much more emphasis to the couple. Using flash in this situation would have destroyed the feeling and atmosphere. You can’t stage these sort of things!
